Did you know that you can choose your own funeral celebrant?

Many people don’t realise that you have a choice, you do not have to use whomever your funeral director suggests.

Sometimes families have specific wishes, such as having a member of the clergy or requesting a male celebrant, and of course that is absolutely fine. But to give your loved one the very best send-off, choosing the right celebrant can make all the difference.

You may have seen a celebrant on social media, attended a service where someone’s words truly touched you, or thought, “They captured that person perfectly.” It could be a recommendation from a friend, colleague, or neighbour, sometimes it’s the warmth and comfort in the way they speak about that celebrant that stays with you.

The right celebrant will take the time to sit with you over a cuppa, listen to your stories, hear about the laughter, the tears, the good times and the difficult ones. They will guide you through your choices, support you through the service, and help you create a meaningful farewell that truly reflects the life of your person.

Remember — you have a choice.

If you are looking for someone to listen, to guide, and to gently hold your hand while we celebrate and honour your loved one’s life, please call me for a chat.

Together, we will remember them with love and dignity.
